About the Lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead QA Engineer to lead our quality assurance efforts and ensure the delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and leadership skills and a passion for software quality in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategy Development: Define, implement, and improve QA processes, standards, and best practices to ensure consistent quality.
- Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for functional, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Manual Testing: Perform and oversee manual testing efforts, ensuring thorough validation of edge cases and complex scenarios that automated tests may not cover.
- Automation: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and DevOps, to align on quality objectives and project timelines.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools, and ensure their resolution before release.
- Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report on QA metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, to stakeholders.
- Tooling: Evaluate and recommend QA tools and technologies to enhance the testing process.
- Risk Assessment: Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the development lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement across teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining automated tests using tools such as Playwright, or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing tools.
- Familiarity with API testing tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient speaking and writing in English
